Sai Baba’s Divine Messages Through Dreams

Anonymous Shirdi Sai Baba Devotee from India says: Om Sai Ram!! My purpose in publishing this is not to boast about my devotion. In actuality, I am a person with a lot of negative traits that I do not think anyone else possesses. 

I’m working on getting better. I’m hoping that Baba will improve me as a person. The purpose of sharing these experiences is to share the love and leela of Baba. While I may not have a single instance that others would consider miraculous, I see even the smallest events in my daily life as miracles. I am amazed at how Baba arranges events so beautifully every day. Of course, the major life-altering experiences I had were Baba’s miracles. Here, I am going to share some of my dream experiences with Baba:

In 2016, I had a dream where I was in a body of water, and Sai Baba was making me perform a ritualistic act of offering Him water and saying, “Baba, as Guru Dakshina, I offer myself completely to You.” I forgot the dream in the morning but remembered it while taking a bath and repeated the action with water then and there. After getting ready, I discovered that day was “Guru Poornima.” I had never observed Guru Poornima before that year, but I was ecstatic when Baba made me do so on that auspicious day. Since then, I have celebrated Guru Poornima every year. The most crucial thing to keep in mind is that I am entirely His. I own nothing. He owns my body, my mind, and everything I possess. This event emphasized total surrender.

A few months back, Baba appeared in my dream and told me, “Keep massaging oil on your feet, it will be healed.” Upon waking, I wondered what needed to be healed and on whose feet I should apply oil. After 2-3 days, the pain in my foot suddenly worsened, and I realized I had been experiencing mild foot discomfort for the past 1-2 years but had been ignoring it. The pain rapidly grew to the point where I could not walk normally. I immediately understood that Baba’s advice was meant for me. I did what I was told. To this day, every night, I massage my feet with oil, following Baba’s instructions, and the pain has reduced significantly. Because Baba told me to, I will continue doing it. Even if we cannot realize the outcomes of Baba’s advice immediately, they are always for our benefit.

Self-Reflection and Spiritual Growth

A few months ago, I was very concerned about several unfavorable things that were occurring in my life. I was attempting to resolve each of these problems. I had a dream that I was at Shirdi. Every time I dream of Shirdi, I go to an underground temple where devotees attend the Aarti from a hall-like setting while Baba’s idol is kept on a stage. I am not sure why, but this underground temple always seems to be there in my dreams of Shirdi. Like in all my Shirdi dreams, I was ecstatic to be at Shirdi and hurried over to the temple alone, seemingly in a rush to catch a glimpse of Baba before the temple closed. And I got to have darshan of Baba. He was wearing a full green dress, and I have no words to describe the serenity I felt upon coming to Him. He said, “You will get answers for all your problems on the coming Friday.” When I woke up, I was overjoyed to see Baba in my dream—and at Shirdi. I carried on with my tasks. And just as He mentioned, on Friday, I found out what I needed to do for every problem. On Friday, everything became apparent. Then, I decided to outfit Baba’s idol in all green in my house. And at last, after much hunting, Baba helped me find a stunning green dress and pagdi with the ideal fit and style. On October 15th this year (the date of Mahasamadhi), Baba wore it at my home. And when I opened Shirdi’s live Darshan on the internet that day, I noticed that Baba was wearing green in Shirdi Samadhi Mandir. These encounters just deepen our sense of His presence.

For the past several days, I have been having self-esteem issues. The more I strive to be flawless in Baba’s eyes, the more flaws I notice in myself. I became weary of wondering why, after so many years with Baba in my life, I could never be a better person than other Sai Bhaktas. I feel like such a sinner when I look in the mirror. Baba won’t like me, just as most people are unhappy with me. Yet, He still has a deep love for me. To earn His love, I will need to improve myself. I keep trying, but I never succeed. I hardly cry in any situation now because Baba has given me such strength. But a few days ago, I sobbed because I was tired of failing. I wished that Baba, who loves me, might come into my dream. However, why would He do it for a sinner like me? And as I slept, I thought of Him. And He did indeed show up in my dream and showered me with affection. He also reiterated one of His eleven promises. Perhaps it was this: “Mujhmein rakhna dridha vishwas, kare samadhi poori aas” (My tomb shall bless and look to the needs of my devotees). I was astounded. I learned that, despite our dislike for a person’s attributes, we should never let it lead to hatred or disliking them. We should love and empathize with all beings, regardless of their character or how they treat us, as Baba can love someone as sinful as me.

Sorry, Appa, please forgive me for not posting my experience for a long time. This was because I couldn’t connect to the site. You have performed so many miracles in my life over the past few months, including my daughter’s PG medical admission through merit. Without You, nothing is possible. You are my everything. Please forgive me, Deva, for the wrong deeds I have done.

My mother is undergoing surgery on the 21st of this month. Kindly bless her, Baba, and make the surgery a successful one. Also, kindly make my health alright. Lately, You know, Baba, I am not doing well. Please, Baba, make my fear go away. I know that You will always be with me and bless me.
