Shirdi Sai Baba’s Miraculous Presence At Mata Ki Chowki
Anonymous Shirdi Sai Baba Devotee from India says: I have been a Sai devotee for many years.
Dear Sai brothers & sisters, today I share a very beautiful experience I had recently.
We shifted to our house last year, but due to incomplete interior work, we didn’t have any grah pravesh or any big pooja. We just had a small Satyanarayana Katha and Sai Aarti. I knew Baba would understand the simplicity, and I always believed that when Baba was with you, anything done in a simple manner was acceptable.
This Navratri, I felt I should do a Mata Ki Chowki. The thought kept going on in my head continuously. I discussed it with my friends, and we decided to keep it in a common place so all could attend. But that too got cancelled. I felt very dejected. Then my husband, who doesn’t like big functions or grand get-togethers, casually joked, “Why are you feeling sad? Do it in our house.”
That one sentence gave me hope. I started planning in my mind but was very nervous. I had never done a Mata Ki Chowki on my own, and that too in just a few days. Making all the arrangements, buying all the stuff, getting singers, inviting guests, making prashad—all while having a full-time job and with the kids’ exams. I was just thinking if I could do it all alone or not.
But as we know, Baba supports good thoughts. I started working on everything, and trust me, all things got organized by just making phone calls. Each and everything was perfectly arranged. Now comes the main part.
I just kept thanking Sai that everything was going well and prayed that the main function would go smoothly. I was very nervous. The guests started arriving, and bhajans were being sung. Even though it was a Mata Ki Chowki, the main singer was a Sai devotee, so many Baba Bhajans were included. Everyone was enjoying it with full enthusiasm. I had arranged red hand Chunris for all the guests and was welcoming each one.
Suddenly, three old ladies, all dressed in similar fashion and looking alike, came to my doorstep and said, “We hear lots of bhajans. Can we come and do darshan of Mata?” I was totally blank. I didn’t know these people or how to allow them, but when they came, I felt as if a white light was surrounding them. I smiled and said, “Yes, yes, welcome.” These three ladies came, took darshan, put their hands on my head, and left. No one knows who they were.
Then, another lady in a white dress came. She sat throughout the function, sang all the bhajans, took pictures with us, and accepted Prashad. While leaving, she just said thanks and went away. When all this was happening, I didn’t think much of it. I thought she was a guest of my husband, and my husband thought they were my friends. These four people—who they were and where they came from—we know nothing.
After everyone left and I was sitting alone, the jigsaw puzzle was solved. I told my husband, “It was Mata Ki Chowki. Three Devis came, and with them, the other lady was Baba in disguise.” In Sai Satcharitra, there is a chapter where Baba says He will come in a trio and attend in disguise. This was it. I had a live experience. I always used to tell Baba that people get Vibhuti in their pooja room or can see Him, but I never received such blessings. And here it was.
Generally, we feel scared to allow strangers into our homes, but I felt happy seeing them. The whole chowki went very smoothly. Everyone was so happy and praised us for organizing it so quickly. They said they felt positive vibes. I felt so happy. The main happiness I felt was seeing these four unknown ladies. They were Mata and Baba in disguise, who came to my house to bless me.
Trust in your Guru 110%, He knows what’s best for you.
