We had three miscarriages before this pregnancy, and every milestone was challenging for us due to our difficult pregnancy history. I have a short cervix, and because of this, our gynecologist recommended a cervical stitch to prevent preterm delivery. We had the procedure done during the 21st week of my pregnancy, and afterward, everything seemed fine.

However, on January 1, 2024, at 27 weeks, I started experiencing mild pain in my lower abdomen every 10 minutes from 2:30 PM, which I initially mistook for constipation. By the evening, around 8:30 PM, the pain became severe. We have a medical student living in the adjacent flat who was home preparing for her PG entrance exams. We called her to check if I was going into labour, something I fervently prayed wasn’t happening. Unfortunately, she confirmed that they were labour pains. We rushed to the hospital, and by the next evening, the doctors were unable to stop the labour. I had to undergo an emergency delivery, giving birth to a preterm baby girl who weighed only 1 kg at birth. She stayed in the NICU for 52 days, and by Baba’s grace, she came home healthy.
Five days later, she choked on her medicine and turned bluish. With Baba’s blessings, we acted swiftly and rushed her to the hospital. She was treated and stayed in the NICU for three more days before coming home healthy again.
Baba manifested through our neighbours, who helped us recognize the labour pains and rushed us to the hospital in their car since we don’t own one. During the choking emergency, they again rushed us to the hospital. The miracle is that the medical student who came to help us, had her exam postponed after my surgery, and she returned to her college 15 days later. Baba came in her form to help me during my pregnancy. I am forever grateful for His blessings on us.
