Sai Baba’s Role In Overcoming Career Challenges

I started reading Sai Satcharitra Parayan in January 2021. It has been 3 years now. Throughout these 3 years, I have been experiencing the divine touch of Sai in everything I do. I believe, as Sai said about Dhurander’s family, “I know you for Janmas.” Someone pasted Sai’s beautiful divine picture outside my room on a wall about 20 years ago. Whenever I enter or exit my room, I would see this picture and touch His feet, even without knowing anything about Baba. But Baba pulled me into His holy thread 3 years ago.

From the beginning of my Parayan, I started experiencing bliss. My husband was hospitalised with COVID, and one of my relatives called to ask about his health. Casually, he asked me if I was interested in joining the Parayan, and I said yes. However, 4 days before my Parayan was set to start, he called and said there was no slot available, which made me sad. I work in a managerial role at a corporate company. On Tuesday, my manager told me I had to present the annual business plan to my Unit Head on Thursday and be ready. Due to my busy schedule at work and home, I couldn’t start on the plan until Wednesday and was planning to work on it Thursday morning.
But on Tuesday evening, my relative said a slot was available, and I could join. I was confused and had no idea how much time the Parayan would take or if I would be able to manage it. Still, I didn’t want to miss this chance and agreed to participate. I asked my manager if she could move the meeting to Friday, but she said it was not possible and that I had to be prepared for Thursday morning.
Suddenly, on Wednesday evening, my manager called me and said my Unit Head had an emergency, and the meeting was shifted to Friday. I was so happy and felt that Baba had arranged this for me. I was assigned 4 chapters to start with: 16-17, 18-19. I woke up early on Thursday at 3:00 AM and completed all my usual prayers, which take about an hour, and then read Sai Satcharitra. It was a great experience for me. Later that day, I prepared my business plan and shared it with my manager. She came back telling me she liked my plan and shared it with my colleagues so they could use it to prepare theirs as well. I felt like Sai had helped me with that plan; otherwise, it wouldn’t have been possible to complete it so nicely in such a short time.
From then onwards, I looked forward to Thursdays to know what Sai was telling me. Every time I read the chapters, it gave me a different experience. Whenever I had some difficulty or issues, the chapter I read that Thursday would provide answers to my problem.
My daughter was pursuing a professional course, a 5 to 6-year program. She missed registering for the exam on time and lost a year. She was very upset. I told her not to worry, as she would have more time to study. She could attempt that exam only after 1.5 years. But when the results came, she failed. We were all very upset and unsure of what to do next. She had already lost 2 years. She is not someone who mingles with friends and is mostly a homely person. We were afraid of how she would handle this situation and move forward. I prayed to Baba to show me a way to keep her motivated and try for another attempt. I received answers from Baba like, “Be at My feet, have faith.”
The next exam attempt was in 3 months, and she had to prepare a lot. She used to go to a nearby Durga temple every Tuesday and Friday to pray. She told me, even after this, she was facing setbacks. I told my daughter that God is testing us to see if we have real faith in Him. I encouraged her not to lose faith, saying that whatever is meant for us will come to us. I advised her to continue her worship and put in her best efforts.
I was fortunate enough to meet Swami Satyananda Saraswati and receive His blessings in my early days, which led to some great experiences in my life with my Guru. Whenever I pray to Baba, I see my Guru’s feet. All divine souls are one and the same. We have a Sai temple in my hometown. Before the exam, I went to my Guru’s temple and the Sai temple, sought blessings, and said, “Baba, You decide whatever is good for her. I leave it at Your feet.”
The next exam happened. Among the 4 papers, 2 were easy, and the other 2 were very difficult. This time, the week before the results came, my chapter was 51, Aarati. I was so happy to have the Aarati to chant. I felt that I should do a 7-day Parayan that week. Baba helped me read through it and complete it by Wednesday. However, I had important meetings at the office and had to be in Bangalore for a week. We also learned that her results would be announced while I was away in Bangalore. I told Baba, “I am leaving home, leaving her at Your feet,” and went for the meetings.
On results day, I was away in training and very busy. My husband stayed home with her for mental support. At 11:00 am, I received a message from her that she had passed. One of the difficult papers she just managed to pass, while she received good marks in the rest. I believe it was Baba’s blessings.
Thank You, Baba, for giving shelter at Your holy feet, taking care of us, and being with us each and every moment of our lives. Please forgive us for any mistakes we have made. Grant us faith and shelter at Your feet, and help us sail through this life to reach Your divine abode.

Today, I had a very good experience in my hometown. During the Bhogi festival, I woke up early, went for a shave, and bought milk and chicken. After taking a bath, I realised my wallet was missing. Feeling a bit anxious, I searched where I had been, shared my concern with my parents, and continuously prayed to my beloved Baba. After 20 minutes of tension, my mother finally found my wallet.
