Graceful Intervention: Sai’s Blessing On A Costly Bathroom Remodeling Decision

As our aged parents visit us often and live with us for extended periods of time, I wanted to remodel our bathrooms to make them safe and accessible for them. We had been talking about this for a long time, and finally, we found that our wholesaler had contractors who would do this work. We invited one to give estimates. After measurements and discussions, he provided us with estimates for the changes. We felt that it was inordinately expensive and were inclined to reject the bid. However, he then offered us hefty discounts, but we still felt that it was very expensive, and we wanted to reject it.

The salesperson somehow convinced my husband to go for it, and he agreed. All of this took several hours, and at the end of it, my husband signed the necessary paperwork, and we were looking at bathroom remodeling 5 months out at a hefty cost.

Initially, we felt it was okay and that we needed the work done. But upon further consideration, I realized that not only was it expensive, but we were also not getting what we wanted. I had some other expectations in mind, and we were settling for something because it was expedient. After a few weeks (still 4 months before the work was to happen), we decided that we wanted to cancel it. I called the wholesaler through whom we had gotten the contractor. Initially, they were not sure whether the contract could be canceled. Apparently, there was a 3-day period during which the contract needed to be canceled, beyond which there was a hefty penalty. I prayed to Sai that this contract should be canceled without any penalty by His grace.

After more than 2 weeks of talking to the intermediary wholesaler, they somehow managed to get the order canceled with no penalty. This was only possible through Sai’s grace. We have received verbal confirmation and are waiting for the written confirmation. Thank you, Sai, for your kindness and help in canceling this expensive work order with no penalty. I am posting here as promised. Om Sai Ram!

I couldn’t understand why Baba had let this happen to me. I had always trusted Him to do what was best for me, but now I felt like I had been abandoned. I only thought about the hard work I had put in and the financial difficulties my family was facing.

Baba might have sent this person just to solve my problems. It was a job that was much more suited to my skills and interests, and it was much less stressful than my previous job.

It was then that I realized that Baba had a better plan for me all along. He had removed me from the stressful job and given me an opportunity to start a new chapter in my life. I had been too impatient to see what His plan was.

From this experience, I learned to have faith in Baba’s plan for me and to be patient. I also learned that Baba is always there to help you, as long as you don’t harm anyone. So if you believe in Him and trust Him, He will take care of you.
