Shirdi Sai Baba’s Darshan Experience

Shirdi Sai Baba Devotee Swathi J from India says: Hi… My name is Swathi. I have known Baba since my college days, but I was not a great devotee of His. During college, I used to go to Baba Mandir and offer Him a rose, but I never knew much about Him. I only went because my friends went. Life continued; I got a job and was working in a company. Now, let me tell you how Baba pulled me towards him.

One of my Instagram friends (we had never met before but were in contact) suddenly called me one morning and asked, “Will you come to Shirdi? My uncle has planned a Shirdi trip, and there’s one seat left. We are leaving today. Would you like to come?” Without thinking for a second, I said yes. Later, I asked my parents for permission, and that same evening, we left for Shirdi (there were many temples included). We reached Shirdi around 9 PM (I do not remember the exact time), had dinner at the mandir, and then went to our room. After that, we were asked to get ready and return to the mandir.

We stood in the queue to attend the Kakad Aarthi the whole night. After waiting for so many hours, the bell finally rang. We all ran to get a spot near Baba’s Samadhi. When the aarthi began, I was overwhelmed to see all of this. I didn’t even know a single line of the aarthi, but I still joined in and prayed. From that day onwards, I believed in Baba so much. I studied more about Him through the Satcharitra, different Parayan groups, and more. This is how Baba pulled me towards Him.

Now I will tell you one of the recent miracles:

Yesterday (24/11/2023, Friday), we had Ganahoma at our house. Around 09:30 AM, the Pandit came and started the procedure. While performing the pooja, he told me to pray to my Ishta Devata (Favorite God). I closed my eyes and prayed to Baba, asking Him to come to this pooja and show me His presence somehow. The pooja continued.

Later, the Pandit asked us to come outside near the Tulsi plant for the aarthi. As he was doing the aarthi, I thought to myself, “Okay, Baba, I know you will not come. It’s okay.” Just as I had this thought and looked towards our gate, I saw an elderly man standing there in a white lungi, white shirt, and white shawl. He smiled at me and gave me a blessing with both hands.

I was so awestruck, I didn’t know how to react. Usually, at home, we speak Tulu, but upon seeing Him, I spoke in Hindi, saying, “Aayiye andar.” He replied, “Nahi, nahi,” smiled, and gave me His blessing. I felt it was Baba Himself who came and showed His presence. Later, I explained all this to my family, and everyone was happy.

Thank You, Baba, for always being there for me and my family. I apologize if I have disobeyed You knowingly or unknowingly.

Om Sai Ram
