In June 2023, I got laid off and have applied to hundreds of jobs since then. I gave a few interviews, and although most of them went well, they did not proceed to the next stage. I have also been doing the Nav Guruvar Vrat and have completed 4 weeks of Vrat so far. I am praying to Baba every day to help me get a good job soon. I also read 1 chapter from Sai Satcharitra every day in the morning, in addition to the Global Maha Parayan.

This Monday, I read my daily chapter, and it was about the devotee Megha and how he was a great devotee of Shiva and he always saw Shiva in Baba. It did not occur to me at that time that I got this chapter on a Monday (Shiva’s day).

In the afternoon, I visited Sai Baba’s question and answer website and asked Baba a question about when I would get a job. I received the answer that I have to offer Bael leaves (Bilwa leaves) to Shiva and it will reach Baba. When I saw this answer, I felt angry at Baba. I thought to myself, “What is this, Baba? How can I arrange for Bilwa leaves here? I am not in India; I am in the US. Why are You giving me such tasks?” After some time, I calmed down and thought maybe I could search for Bilwa leaves online. I searched on Amazon and many other sites, but only found Bilwa leaves powder and not the actual leaves. Then I searched for the scientific name of the Bilwa tree, hoping I could find the plant in a local nursery and use leaves from it. However, I discovered that it is only found in tropical regions. I spent around 30 minutes on this and then gave up.

By evening, I had totally forgotten about it. I was going to buy groceries from local Indian stores near my home. I usually go to a store called Vani Grocers and always meet someone from my acquaintances there. However, that day, I was feeling very depressed and told my husband that I would go to Pande Grocers (earlier it was called Sai Grocers) today. In my mind, I thought I would not meet anyone at Pande as it is a little farther than Vani. I wanted to be alone.

I went to Pande after a long time, and when I was shopping, someone called my name from behind. It was a friend of mine. I spoke to him for 1-2 minutes and then went to the fruit section. I saw some fruits, but they were very ripe, so I did not buy them and turned to the vegetable section. My dear readers, it was almost like a scene from a movie. I turned around, and the first thing my eyes fell on after turning was a basket with the label “Bilwa Leaves”. I got goosebumps. I have hardly ever come to Pande Grocers to shop for vegetables. I have never seen Bilwa leave in any Indian Grocery store before this, in my 10 years of stay in the US. I got a packet of the best available leaves and came home. At that moment, I understood that Baba had arranged for them, sent me to the right place, and solved my problem!

Since it was a Monday, I washed my hands and feet and decided to offer it right then. The packet had 4 sets of leaves, one had black spots, and the remaining 3 were good. I offered one to the Shiva linga, one to the Shirdi Sai Baba statue, and one to the Guru Datta photo in my pooja mandir. I prayed to Baba, “I am a very foolish devotee. When You told me today to offer Bilwa leaves, I got angry at You. I never realised that You take such good care of me, that I should have known that You will arrange them for me too.” Thank You so much, Baba, for Your help. It has increased and solidified my faith in You so much. I am sure You will help me to get a good job very soon.

Sai Baba Saves Son’s Education Abroad

I have been a Sai devotee for the last 11 years and joined the Mahaparayan group in 2020. My son completed his undergraduate studies in India and planned to pursue higher education abroad. He secured a seat in Europe in 2021, and we were all eagerly awaiting his departure. Unfortunately, due to the carelessness of education consultants, he could not apply for a visa on time, and this was not our mistake. Our entire family was shattered and shocked. However, I continued reading Satcharitra every week, the entire book, and providing annadhan to the poor every Thursday.

Again, in 2023, he secured admission to another university in Europe, and we waited for the visa for almost 4 months. On August 8th, 2023, we received an email stating that the visa had been rejected, again due to no fault of ours but because of a silly mistake by the consultants. I was very upset, seeing my son’s education being disrupted for the second year in a row. I even decided not to worship Baba, feeling that He had spoiled my son’s future. However, I continued to read and prayed to Baba to take care of my son, and I promised not to ask anything for myself in my whole life.

Within 24 hours, on August 9th, we received news that another university was ready to offer him a seat. However, the time was very short as classes were scheduled to start on September 11th.

We decided to take a chance. My son and I worked round the clock for paper preparation and submitted the visa application on 18th Aug. Though I had no hopes and completed my Sapthagam on 30th Aug. Despite all odds, Baba had a different plan, and He completely changed my son’s fortune. On 5th Sep, we received a message that the visa had been approved. From 5th Sep onwards, we had no looking back, and Baba provided a one-time solution for all our pains. My son left for abroad on 9th Sep and attended the first class session on 11th Sep, which means within a week’s time, Baba had changed his life. I will never forget this miracle as I had not expected this from Sai at all. I prayed to Baba that I would post about this miracle once my son left for higher education. I am still speechless about this sudden change by Baba’s grace and blessing. I will continue to read weekly chapters and monthly Sapthagam until my last breath.
