A Mother’s Journey to Success Guided by Sai Baba

Experience 1: Finding a Life Partner
I am the only daughter among my siblings, with two brothers, but tragically, my younger brother passed away in 2008, leaving us deeply distraught. For five years, we grappled with his absence, feeling a profound loss. It was only after this time that my parents began searching for a suitable match for me. However, despite their efforts over seven years, as I crossed the age of 30, there were no prospects, leading my parents to anguish over my future.
Rumors circulated in our village, impeding my marriage prospects and causing immense distress. I felt as though I might never find a life partner, while my younger cousins were marrying, causing considerable pain to my mother. This period was incredibly stressful for us.
It was during this challenging time that Sai Appa entered my life. I earnestly prayed to him to bring happiness to my parents. I embarked on a nine-week prayer journey and even fasted twice, but it was during the third time, following Baba’s guidance, that I ate only once at His temple during lunch. Even as hope wavered, I resolved to complete my prayers. Seeking answers, I turned to a question-answer site, receiving Baba’s response to “wait for three days, have faith, and wait.”
True to His word, on the third day of the ninth week, a potential alliance emerged, but uncertainties lingered. Yet, Sai Baba’s assurance that “Everything will be fine” gave us solace, despite my brother’s emotional struggle, which prompted fervent prayers. Eventually, with Baba’s intervention, the marriage was arranged. Sai Baba blessed me with a wonderful husband and two sons, and today, I live happily, all due to Appa’s blessings.
Experience 2: Child’s Illness
When my younger son was one year old, he suffered from severe diarrhea for two weeks. He was weak, couldn’t stand, and completely lost his energy. Despite visiting several pediatricians, there was no improvement. Medicines made him cry, adding to our frustration. On the 12th day, panicked by his condition, I prayed intensely to Sai Appa for his quick recovery, promising to shave my head within 15 days if he got better. Miraculously, after that prayer, he had only one more episode of diarrhea and recovered completely that day. Gratefully, I fulfilled my promise and shaved my head in front of our family deity. It was a testament to the power of faith. Now, my son is completely fine. Thank You, Sai Appa, for everything. Jai Sai Ram.

Experience 3: Family Struggles and Career Restart
I’m a mother of two toddlers, and unfortunately, my husband’s business suffered losses, leaving us without any income. We moved in with his parents, but they started blaming us for relying on them for our basic needs. His mother frequently insulted me, and even their maid joined in with hurtful comments. I used to work as an Assistant Professor at a private college before I got married, but after a seven-year gap due to a layoff, I felt unsure about continuing in that profession. This uncertainty and the stress of restarting my career kept me up at night for five years.
I felt lost and didn’t know where to begin or how to navigate this situation. Amidst my search for guidance, I repeatedly encountered Sai Baba’s message promising a job that would bring happiness and assurance of passing an exam. At one point, almost dismissively, I absentmindedly flipped through a newspaper while putting my baby to sleep on a Thursday. That’s when a miracle happened—I stumbled upon a job opening for an assistant professor. Seeking permission from Sai Baba, I attended the interview and got the job. It was a great experience.
Simultaneously, I applied for a Ph.D. entrance exam, a challenging test I struggled to prepare for due to my sons’ health issues. Yet, with Sai’s support, I miraculously secured the 42nd rank. The next hurdle was a presentation, which I hadn’t had time to prepare for due to my responsibilities at home and work. Taking a brief leave, I dedicated two days to prepare, and during the presentation, my Head of Department gave a thumbs-up, and everyone praised me. It was another miracle guided by Sai Baba.
However, when I enrolled for my Ph.D., my younger son fell ill again, causing a month of struggle with consecutive health issues among my family members. Eventually, I decided to step back from pursuing my Ph.D. as I had already resigned from my job to care for my son. I couldn’t focus on my Ph.D. amidst these health concerns. But one morning, by chance, I stumbled upon a motivational YouTube video about a woman starting her UPSC journey at 30. It sparked positive thoughts in me, and with Sai Baba’s guidance, I found the strength to return to college. Sai Baba always provides hints and guidance in various ways, and this is yet another example.
